How Silver Price in Pakistan Is Set
- World price: silver is traded in US dollars per troy ounce (31.1 grams). On 2 October 2026 it was about $61.51 per ounce.
- Convert to tola: one ounce is about 2.67 tola, so the world price is turned into a per-tola price.
- Dollar rate: that price is multiplied by the rupee–dollar rate. A weaker rupee means costlier silver.
- APGJSA rate: the Sarafa association adds local import and market costs and announces the official daily rate.
- Shop price: your jeweller sells at this rate plus making charges and a small margin.
