A government Fuel Price Monitoring Committee reviews prices at the start of every month against international market movements. New prices are announced through the Bahrain News Agency and usually take effect on the 2nd of the month. Every Bapco station in the kingdom charges the same rate.
Unlike Saudi Arabia, Bahrain has no price cap, so all four fuels can move in either direction. The main exception is support for Bahraini fishermen, whose diesel subsidy the committee has kept in place through every revision.
Bahrain’s fuel names come from Arabic: Jayyid means “good” and Mumtaz means “excellent”.
Check the label inside your fuel flap or your owner’s manual if you’re unsure.
