LESCO Bill Check in 30 Seconds

Quick answer: To check your LESCO bill online, open bill.pitc.com.pk/lescobill (or use the checker at the top of this page), type the 14-digit reference number from any old bill without spaces or the letter U/R, and press Search. Your latest bill opens right away. You can then save it as a PDF, print it, or pay it through your banking app, JazzCash, Easypaisa or Raast QR.

It is free, there is no login, and you do not need to give your CNIC or phone number.

How to Check Your LESCO Bill Online (Step by Step)

Five steps to check a LESCO bill online on the PITC website using your 14-digit reference number
Five simple steps to check your LESCO bill online on the official PITC bill page.

LESCO does not publish bills on its own website. All LESCO bills are uploaded by PITC (Power Information Technology Company), the government company that runs billing for every ex-WAPDA electricity company. So the official place to see your bill is PITC’s LESCO page. Here is exactly what to do:

  1. Keep an old bill handy. Any month is fine. You need the reference number printed on it (see the next section for where it is).
  2. Open the bill page. Type bill.pitc.com.pk/lescobill in Chrome or Safari, or use our checker at the top of this page, which takes you there.
  3. Enter your reference number. Type the 14 digits only. Leave out the spaces and the letter U or R at the end. Many people get a “not found” error only because they typed the spaces.
  4. Press Search. Your latest bill appears as a full copy, with units, amount, due date and the amount payable after the due date.
  5. Save, print or pay. Save it as a PDF, print it, or copy the reference number into your payment app.

Using your Consumer ID instead? The PITC page also lets you search by Consumer ID. Choose that option and type the number exactly as it is printed on your bill.

Industrial or large commercial connection? PITC keeps a separate section for industrial bills. If your normal search shows nothing, pick the industrial option on the same page.

When does the new bill appear? A few days after your meter is read, and usually well before the due date. If this month’s bill has not appeared yet, the page will show last month’s bill or an error. Try again after a day or two.

Where to Find Your LESCO Reference Number and Consumer ID

LESCO 14-digit reference number explained: batch, sub-division, account number and U or R letter
What each part of your LESCO reference number means, and how to type it online without spaces or the U/R letter.

Every LESCO bill has two numbers that identify your connection. Either one opens your bill online, but the reference number is the one banks, apps and LESCO staff ask for most.

Can it change?Rarely, if LESCO reorganises your sub-divisionStays the same for your connection

What the reference number means, in simple words: the first 2 digits are the billing batch, the next 5 identify your LESCO sub-division, and the last 7 are your own account in that sub-division. The letter at the end is U for urban or R for rural. You never type the letter online.

Lost your bill? Four easy ways to get the number back:

  1. Check your payment app. JazzCash, Easypaisa and banking apps save the reference number of bills you paid before. Open your payment history.
  2. Look in your phone gallery or WhatsApp. Many families have a photo of an old bill.
  3. Ask a neighbour on the same meter bank. Their bill shows your sub-division code, which helps LESCO staff find your account faster.
  4. Call 118 or visit your LESCO sub-division office with your CNIC, name and address as on the bill. They can give you the reference number.

Can You Check a LESCO Bill by CNIC, Meter Number or Name?

No. The official PITC bill page only accepts a reference number or Consumer ID. You cannot pull up a LESCO bill online with a CNIC, meter number, name, address or phone number.

Many websites have titles like “LESCO bill by CNIC” or “by serial number”, but when you read the page they admit it is not possible. Some ask for your CNIC anyway. Do not type your CNIC into an unofficial website just to see a bill. It is not needed, and your CNIC can be misused.

Your CNIC is still useful in one place: at your LESCO sub-division office, staff can use it (with your name and address) to find your connection and give you the reference number.

How to Download or Print a LESCO Duplicate Bill (PDF)

The bill that opens online is your duplicate bill. There is no separate download button, so you save it the same way you save any web page.

DeviceHow to save as PDF
Android (Chrome)Tap the three dots ⋮ → Share → Print → choose “Save as PDF” → tap the PDF icon.
iPhone (Safari)Tap Share → Print → pinch outward on the preview → Share → Save to Files.
Laptop or PCPress Ctrl + P (Cmd + P on Mac) → set Destination to “Save as PDF” → Save. Choose A4 paper if you want to print it.

Will a bank accept a printed duplicate bill? Yes. Payment is linked to the reference number, so a printout from the PITC page works at bank counters, and apps only need the number itself.

Need an older bill? The PITC bill shows your last 12 months of units and payments in the history table at the bottom. For a copy of an older month’s full bill, ask at your sub-division office.

  • September bills carry an FCA of Rs 2.0581 per unit for July 2026.
  • A QTA of Rs 0.5194 per unit is charged on September, October and November bills.
  • NEPRA held a hearing on 29 September on a further Rs 1.73 per unit for August. If approved, it will appear on October bills.

Lifeline and prepaid consumers are excluded from the FCA.

Protected or unprotected? You stay protected only if you used 200 units or less in every one of the last six months. Go over 200 even once and you pay unprotected rates for the next six months.

The slab trap: unprotected bills are not charged slab by slab. Once your month crosses into a band, every unit is charged at that band’s rate. So 200 units × Rs 28.91 = Rs 5,782, but 201 units × Rs 33.10 = Rs 6,653. One extra unit costs about Rs 871 before tax. Keep an eye on your meter near the end of the month.

Want an estimate for your own units? Use our electricity bill calculator.

LESCO slab trap: 200 units cost Rs 5,782 but 201 units cost Rs 6,653, Rs 871 more for one unit
Crossing 200 units by just one unit raises the energy cost by about Rs 871 on unprotected rates.

How to Pay Your LESCO Bill Online or in Person

MethodHow to do it
JazzCash / EasypaisaOpen the app → Bill Payment → Electricity → LESCO → enter the 14-digit reference number → check the amount → pay.
Banking appBills or Utility Payments → Electricity → LESCO → reference number → pay. Save the bill as a payee for next month.
Raast QRIf your bill has a QR code, scan it from any Raast-enabled banking app. The details fill in by themselves.
NayaPay / SadaPayUse the Bills section and choose LESCO.
ATMMost 1LINK ATMs have a Bill Payment option for LESCO.
Bank branch or post officeTake the bill (or a printed duplicate) to a designated bank branch or Pakistan Post office and pay in cash.

Pay before the due date. After the due date, LESCO adds a late payment surcharge (usually about 10% of the bill). Your bill shows both amounts: “payable within due date” and “payable after due date”.

Keep your receipt. Save the transaction ID or take a screenshot. If a payment does not show on next month’s bill, this is your proof. App payments normally update in LESCO’s system within a few days.

Never pay in cash to anyone at your door. Always pay through a bank, an app or an official LESCO office, and get a receipt.

LESCO Peak Hours 2026

LESCO peak hours 2026 by season, with TOU peak and off-peak rates per unit
LESCO peak hours change with the season. TOU meter users pay Rs 46.85 per unit at peak and Rs 34.53 off-peak.
MonthsPeak hours
December – February5 PM – 9 PM
March – May6 PM – 10 PM
June – August7 PM – 11 PM
September – November (now)6 PM – 10 PM

Who pays more at peak? Homes with a Time-of-Use (TOU) meter, which is required for a sanctioned load of 5 kW or more, plus most commercial and industrial connections. On a residential TOU meter a peak unit costs Rs 46.85 against Rs 34.53 off-peak. A normal single-phase home pays the same rate all day, but using less in the evening still keeps your monthly units, and your slab, down.

LESCO Bill Problems and How to Fix Them

ProblemWhat to do
“Record not found”Type the 14 digits with no spaces and no U/R. If it still fails, this month’s bill may not be uploaded yet. Try again in a day.
Page slow or not openingTraffic peaks near due dates. Try early morning or late night, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or use a different browser.
Units look too highCompare the “present reading” on the bill with your meter. If the bill shows more, photograph the meter with the date and go to your sub-division office for a bill correction before the due date.
Estimated or average billThis happens when the reader could not reach the meter. Ask for a correction with a photo of your actual reading.
Detection billLESCO charges extra units if it believes the meter was tampered with or slow. Ask for the detection details in writing and file a complaint if you disagree.
Paid, but bill still shows arrearsPayments can take a few days to post. If it shows on next month’s bill, take your receipt or transaction ID to the sub-division office.
Can’t pay on timeAsk your sub-division office about paying in instalments before the due date. It is not automatic and is decided case by case.

Recovery visits in Lahore (September 2026). Residents in several areas have reported LESCO recovery teams visiting homes about unpaid bills. A LESCO spokesperson told The Express Tribune that consumers with complaints about their bills should visit their LESCO office for correction before the due date. If a team visits you, ask to see the bill details and pay only through official channels.

How to make your complaint count:

  1. Have your reference number ready. It is the first thing the operator asks for.
  2. Explain the problem in one or two sentences: no power, wrong reading, wrong name, or a payment not showing.
  3. Write down the complaint number you are given. You need it to follow up.
  4. If nothing happens within a reasonable time, visit your sub-division office with the complaint number.

Still not solved? You can take a billing dispute to NEPRA, the power regulator, through its consumer complaint system at nepra.org.pk, or file it on the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal app.

8 Simple Ways to Lower Your LESCO Bill

  1. Stay at 200 units or less if you can. That keeps you on protected rates, which are less than half the unprotected ones.
  2. Watch the slab edge. Check your meter in the last week of the billing month. Crossing 200, 300 or 400 units by a few units reprices the whole bill.
  3. Move heavy use out of 6 PM to 10 PM (this season’s peak hours), especially if you have a TOU meter.
  4. Run the AC at 26°C with a fan. Every degree lower adds noticeably to the bill.
  5. Replace old appliances with inverter ACs and fridges and LED lights.
  6. Fix the water motor. A leaking tank or a motor left running is a common hidden cost.
  7. Check the meter reading every month. Catching a wrong reading early is far easier than fixing it later.
  8. Think about solar. New connections now fall under NEPRA’s net billing rules, introduced in February 2026 in place of net metering, so work out the payback before you invest.

✓ How we checked this

Bill-check steps follow the official PITC LESCO bill page. Per-unit rates and peak hours come from NEPRA’s notified tariff (S.R.O. 279(I)/2026). Monthly adjustments come from NEPRA decisions reported by Dawn, Business Recorder and The Express Tribune. We review this page every month when NEPRA announces the new fuel adjustment.
