Under the new initiative, every registered motorbike owner will be eligible for a fuel subsidy ofRs 100 per litre on up to 20 litres of petrol per month. This means bikers can effectively receive a support of aroundRs 2,000 monthlyon their fuel expenses. In addition, the government hascompletely abolished the registration fee and waived the transfer feefor motorbikes across Punjab.
To ensure the benefits reach the right people, the government has set up a simple and transparent application process. Bikers can register for the subsidy through any of the following channels:
Helpline:Call 1000 for guidance and registration
Mobile App:Download the ‘Maryam Ko Batayn’ mobile application from the Google Play Store
Online Portal:Apply at the official web portal:mkb.punjab.gov.pk
Applicants will need to provide their valid CNIC, motorbike registration details, and an active mobile number to complete the registration. The scheme is aimed at providing short-term economic support to the large community of bikers who rely on their motorcycles for daily commuting, including students, workers, and small-scale earners. By combining fuel price reduction, direct monthly support, and free registration, the government hopes to deliver both immediate financial relief and longer-term administrative ease. The relief package is structured as a short-term economic support measure focused on mobility costs, with its success depending on smooth implementation and public awareness of the application process. With this initiative, the Punjab government continues to focus on targeted subsidies to ease the financial pressure on the public amidst rising living costs.
